Margaret Koski Schwier

Peggy Schwier grew up in Fitchburg Massachusetts, and graduated from Massachusetts College of Art, BFA Studio for Interrelated Media 1973.

She has lived year round on Martha’s Vineyard since 1973, creating, organizing, and managing many businesses on-island in the years after college until founding her own in 1988.

She has been a landscape designer and owner of Schwier Gardens since 1988.

She has written articles for Martha’s Vineyard Home and Garden magazine and her properties have appeared in various magazines, on and off island. She has choreographed and danced with Vineyard Dance from 1974-2007, and was a faculty member 2005-2008.

She is has been President of Sail Martha’s Vineyard since 2006. She is past board member of Island Community Chorus and Vineyard Playhouse. She married Bob Schwier in 1983, owner of Schwier Finishes, and they live in West Tisbury, Ma.
